Ginny has over 20 years of experience in conservation and sustainable development with a focus on small island developing states including stints as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Jamaica and a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fellow in American Samoa prior to joining Conservation International as a Seascapes Coordinator in 2007. In her time with CI, she has served as a technical and strategic advisor to multiple Seascapes across the globe, helped to design and co-led CI’s Pacific Oceanscape program and currently leads the Blue Nature Alliance’s site scoping and engagement efforts. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental Engineering from Rice University and her master’s degree in International Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
